Dear 2020 Brides, We Are Here For You

@foxandfilmphoto

Love is patient….and during times like these we couldn’t believe this to be more true. Couples across the world are having to make the difficult decision to postpone their big day or decide to cut their guest count in half and have a smaller wedding.

These decisions aren’t easy but are necessary in order to keep your family and friends safe during these unprecedented times. We know no matter what decision is made, our couples and those also going through this will end up having the wedding of their dreams and that it will all work out just the way it is supposed to be.

@foxandfilmphoto

While trying to decide which decision is right for you and your family, the Bella Babes got together and made a list of advice and pointers to help ease your decision!

Is it worth postponing? Why?

  • These are a few things you need to ask yourself while considering postponing:
    • Do I want all my guests to attend that were originally invited (More than likely your guest count is going to drop. Right now, people don’t feel as comfortable being in a crowd of people they may not know. They may also have to decline if someone in their family is high risk or if they themselves are high risk.)
    •  Is it important for you to have the guest count you always envisioned having a part of your big day?
    • Are you ok having a smaller, more intimate wedding. Many of our couples have postponed purely because they want a larger wedding and if that’s something you want than postponing is definitely your best bet!
    • Are you ok with out of country guests not being able to attend? I have to ask all my clients who are considering postponing this. Why? Because in many cases our weddings have someone who lives in another country that is extremely important to them. I have had a few weddings postponed because family and/or Bridal Party members that mean the world to them can’t travel to be at the wedding.
    •  Your wedding is worth postponing because your wedding day is supposed to be relaxing, memorable, and enjoyable. With all the restrictions we have going on right now, the dynamics and intimacy that weddings have, has changed.

The first thing you need to do is decide as a couple if postponing is what you want to do:

  •  Talk with your planner & your venue to see what policies are in place for postponing
  • You are going to want to talk with the venue and see what dates/timeframes they are offering for you to rebook a new date. Be sure to ask if there are going to be any re-booking fees that would be associated with rebooking the new date as well.
  • Once a few dates are chosen to postpone to, confer with your vendors to ensure there is a date that fits everyone’s schedule. Just because the venue has that availability does not mean all your vendors will.
  • Just be sure to communicate with your vendors and they are more than likely going to work with you on a new date. Again, don’t forget to ask if any fees will be associated for rebooking!
  • If a vendor isn’t available on your new date – ask what your financial options are!
  • Have your planner make the official announcement to postpone the wedding
  • Be sure to get this in writing and ask to sign a new contract

These tips are an awesome starting point and can definitely help break things down so the process doesn’t feel so overwhelming.

If you are booked with Bella Sposa, we want you to know *more than ever* that we are here for you and we sympathize with you. We will all get through these difficult times, and love will ALWAYS win! For now, enjoy the chapters to come in your love story and know your big day will happen.

Mayra & Chris, January 25th, 2020, Club Lake Plantation: Apopka, FL

January 25th – a beautiful day for a wedding. As we look back we remember the love that filled Club Lake Plantation and the love that was shared between this special couple.

Mayra and Chris met at the UCF Police Department where they both work – they quickly fell in love and Chris knew he wanted to make Mayra his wife as well as become one big family with their kids.

Rough, emotional news hit Mayra’s family. They were told her father was going to pass away and that he needed to be moved to Hospice. Chris wanted to be able to ask his permission and for him to be able to witness this special moment. Days before Mayra’s father passed – Chris got down on one knee in the Hospice room in front of Mayra’s entire family. It was an extremely emotional moment but also extremely special.

When it came to choosing a wedding venue – it was all God’s plan. Club Lake was booked on the day Chris and Mayra wanted to get married. They still decided to take a tour and instantly fell in love with the natural beauty. After five minutes of touring – the date they wanted miraculously opened up due to a cancellation. It was meant to be.

Flash forward to January 25th – it was finally time to get Mayra and Chris married. Mayra spent the morning getting ready alongside her closest friends, and Chris’ daughter.

Family and friends quickly gathered under the gorgeous oak trees – Mayra got her gorgeous dress on and it was finally time for her to be escorted down the aisle.

Chris’ daughter and Mayra’s son walked the aisle before the wooden doors re-opened for Mayra.

The gorgeous doors opened, family and friends stood and Mayra looked like a glowing princess.

She walked the first half of the aisle by herself and met her two brother’s halfway to walk her the rest of the way. It was a moment for her to think of her father and for him to be remembered in a special way.

After a personal ceremony, and this family finally become one – the new Mr. & Mrs. were pronounced husband and wife and shared their first kiss as Mr. & Mrs. Gavette.

Guests were invited to share in an evening full of fun dancing, laughter, delicious food and lots of love. The reception space was elegantly decorated with twinkling lights and lots of greenery. It was so simple yet so elegantly beautiful.

For the delicious cake – Sweets by Iris beautifully decorated with greenery. The cake tasted SO good and looked so perfect within the reception space.

This couple danced the night away alongside their favorite people – it was amazing to be a part of.

Thank you so much Mayra and Chris for allowing us to be a part of your special day. Bella Sposa wishes you both nothing but a lifetime of happiness and love with your beautiful family.

Shannon & Sage, March 31st, 2019, Club Lake Plantation: Apopka, FL

Let’s take a look back on the most magical wedding day –

Mr. & Mrs. Starkey tied the knot on March 31st, 2019 – and to say it was spectacular is an understatement.

This wedding has it ALL – from live performances, to a prosecco bar, a whimsical forest theme with trees and twinkling lights galore…this special couple truly knew how to plan an unforgettable evening.

Shannon and Sage met while playing love interests in a musical, they developed a close friendship which eventually turned into a relationship.

Sage decided he wanted to propose during a family Christmas vacation in Jamaica. He planned out every little detail and even met with the resort’s activities director to plan a reenactment of how the couple met during the resort’s evening show. Sage created a script for them to perform – it was all supposed to be perfect. Until, Shannon’s parents weren’t feeling well and wanted to skip out on the show!

Sage had to quickly improvise, he asked them to take a photo and quickly got down on one knee. He forgot everything he was going to say and just took the ring out. Shannon said the quickest and easiest “YES!” of her life.

When it came to wedding planning and picking a venue, the couple had no issues. They instantly fell in love with Club Lake Plantation and Shannon said her second easiest “YES!” ever! They were swooning over the romantic oak trees canopying the ceremony site. The second they walked under the outdoor crystal chandelier they knew this is where they had to say “I DO!”

March 31st quickly approached. Shannon spent the morning in the Club Lake bridal suite getting ready amongst some of her favorite people. It was a perfect start to this very special day.

Once their guests arrived, it was time for Shannon to walk down the aisle and meet her groom under the romantic oak trees and pergola.

Little did they know their bridal party had a special surprise – they acted as the officiants and took turns reading and singing their love story. It was the most special and sincere wedding ceremony and a memory that will most definitely last a lifetime.

The new Mr. & Mrs. Starkey were pronounced husband and wife and shared their first married kiss. Following the ceremony, the couple welcomed their guest to share in an evening full of delicious food *including a cheese wheel*, live entertainment, and love.

The reception space was beautifully decorated to match their whimsical forest theme. There were trees surrounding the space with twinkling lights, each guest table had books stacked with hanging boss and tall romantic candelabras. It was breathtaking.

The sweetheart table was set outside in front of the hedges *which created a natural hedge wall.* Every detail was carefully thought out – the space was brought to life.

Upon entering, guests were in awe – and that isn’t where the surprise ended. Shannon and Sage were introduced into the dreamy room and performed their first dance live – while singing! It was incredible.

Guests danced the night away while STG Live Band kept the party going. The room was full of love, laughter, dancing and singing ALL night long. It was such a special experience to witness.

Thank you so much Shannon and Sage for allowing Bella Sposa Events to be apart of your special day. We wish you both nothing but a lifetime of happiness, love and health.

Lauren & Jack, October 19th, 2019, Club Lake Plantation: Apopka, FL

As Bella Sposa Events glances back on October 19, 2019 we remember the romantic and enchanting wedding that took place at Club Lake Plantation. It was Lauren & Jack’s wedding day – never have we experienced so much love in a room. It was such a perfect day.

This adorable couple – Jack and Lauren – met in high school, they were both on the Swimming and Water Polo team. Lauren had a BIG crush on Jack all throughout high school but the two did not start dating until college.

On a trip to Hawaii, Jack planned for a photoshoot with a local photographer. During the photos, Jack got down on one knee and proposed to the girl of his dreams. It was a picture perfect moment.

Funny enough, prior to their engagement the couple had already signed their contract with Club Lake Plantation! They knew they had to get married there from the second they stepped foot on property. Lauren says she fell in love instantly with the property and loved the cozy vibes the venue gave off.

After 14 months of planning their wedding from 2,000+ miles away – the couple’s wedding day was finally here!

Lauren spent the morning in the Club Lake bridal suite alongside her bridesmaids and mom. They had their hair and makeup done by the amazing ladies at Before the Aisle. The girls spent the morning laughing and creating special memories.

Before walking down the aisle, the couple took a moment to read letters from one another in private. It was such a sweet moment.

Once Lauren had her gorgeous Mia Solano gown on it was time for her grandfather to walk her down the aisle. Family and friends stood as the barn doors opened and all eyes went to Lauren. She looked absolutely stunning.

This special couple wanted to ensure their love story was accurately represented throughout their special day – both Lauren and Jack lost a parent and they wanted to feel their presence throughout the day.

During their personal vows, a sun shower started – they were both so nervous it wouldn’t stop. But after starting – it quickly ended and they both said it was their parents there with them showering them with love and blessing their marriage. *cue the tears*

After their personal vows were shared – they were pronounced husband and wife and shared their first kiss as Mr. & Mrs.

The couple welcomed guests to a cocktail hour for their enjoyment – while the couple escaped to take portraits with the talented Sarah Ormiston Photography

Upon entering the reception space – the guests tables were elegantly decorated with taper stick candles they created a romantic element along with gorgeous floral arrangements and greenery. It was breathtaking.

Guests gathered for an evening full of delicious food, yummy drinks, amazing music and dancing, laughter and fun. It was such a perfect evening.

Our DJ Rocks got the party started and the dancing wouldn’t stop. The couple along with their friends and family had such a fun time. The room was full of love – it was radiating.

Thank you so much Lauren and Jack for allowing Bella Sposa to be a part of your special day. We wish you a lifetime of happiness and love.

Taylor & Josh, January 18th, 2020, Club Lake Plantation; Apopka, FL

January 18th, 2020 – it was the most gorgeous day for a wedding at Club Lake Plantation. It was finally Taylor & Josh’s wedding day – & Bella Sposa Events was beyond excited.

This adorable couple are high school sweethearts! They met in chemistry class (of all classes) and hit it off. They built a strong friendship and both developed feelings for each other – after building up the courage to tell Josh how she felt, Taylor finally told him she had a crush and the rest is history.

After years of dating, Josh decided he wanted to ask Taylor to be his wife. He planned a surprise trip to Portland, OR – and planned every detail of the entire trip. He took Taylor to Ecola State Park, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean – he asked a couple to take their photo and got down on one knee! Taylor said her easiest YES! Ever. The cutest part? They found out the couple who took their photo was there celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary.

When it came to deciding on a venue, this couple had no issues. They decided on the one and only venue they toured – Club Lake Plantation. Upon arriving, they instantly fell in love. They didn’t want to look at any other venue, and knew this was where they were meant to say “I Do.”

Taylor was extremely happy to have Bella Sposa Events a part of her special day – during the year and a half of wedding planning she was also in graduate school! It was so much to handle. She wanted someone to help her stay organized as well as ensure there were no major disasters – and that is where we came in!

Flash forward to January 18th and it was FINALLY time to get these two married. *Cue the heart eyes* Taylor spent the morning getting ready with her best friends and mom. It was the perfect morning. Weddings by Crystal perfected the girls hair and makeup and made them look absolutely flawless. Once ready, the girls headed over to the venue riding in style, in a limo!

Family and friends quickly arrived and took their seats in the gorgeous, romantic atmosphere. Josh took his place and the barn doors opened – Taylor was escorted down the aisle by her father. Josh was emotional, and Taylor looked absolutely stunning. It was the couple’s favorite memory of the night.

After their personal ceremony, the couple shared a first kiss as Mr. & Mrs. and said “I Do!” They welcomed guests to a cocktail hour while they had their gorgeous portraits taken.

The reception space was perfectly decorated with pops of blue – it was breathtaking and there was so much dessert to choose from.

Taylor and Josh had a perfect night with all of the family and friends. They danced the night away and the room was filled with love, laughter, and sweet memories being made. It was so special to be a part of.

Thank you so much Taylor and Josh for allowing Bella Sposa Events to be a part of your very special day – we wish you a lifetime of SO much love and happiness.

Maham & Norman, November 30th, Club Lake Plantation: Apopka, FL

Reminiscing on November 30th and the beautiful wedding that took place at Club Lake Plantation – we are reminded of the union between Maham and Norman and how perfect this day truly was.

This special couple met at their church – Maham knew Norman was unlike anyone she had ever met, she made the first move and asked him out on a date (something she has never done!!). This worked out in her favor, they quickly hit it off and the rest is history!

On a surprise trip to New York City, Norman planned a very special proposal. The couple hiked to the top of a mountain where Norman got down on one knee and asked Maham to be his wife. She easily said “YES” and they were able to celebrate their engagement in New York City. It was a perfect weekend.

Flash forward and it was time for this couple to start planning their happily ever after! After looking for an outdoor wedding venue in Florida – the couple came across Club Lake Plantation. It was the first venue they visited and they instantly fell in love. The couple loved the outdoor elements and fairytale vibe the venue gave off. Maham and Norman were so excited to get married here!

November 30th quickly approached and it was finally time to get this beautiful couple married! Maham spent the morning in Club Lake’s gorgeous bridal suite along with her bridesmaids and mom. They all got their hair and makeup perfected by the talented ladies at Femme Akoi

Once Maham was in her fairytale dress and all of the couple’s family and friends were seated under the canopy trees – Maham was escorted down the aisle by her father.

Norman and Maham shared their personal vows to each other and were pronounced husband and wife amongst their closest friends and family surrounded by the gorgeous oak trees, horses and lake. It was a breathtaking moment.

The couple shared their first kiss as Mr. & Mrs. and preceded down the aisle – they greeted guests and invited them to share in an evening full of love and laughter.

The guests tables were romantically decorated with taper candle sticks, gorgeous greenery and pops of blue colored floral – it was stunning.

For dessert, there was a beautiful 3-tier cake created by the amazing Morgan Hunters Desserts team.

The party quickly got started by Xclusive Deejay’s and the guests could not get off of the dance floor – it was one big party.

Emilie & David, January 4th, Bella Collina: Montverde, FL

January 4th, 2020 – the most magical day. It was Emilie & David’s wedding day at the gorgeous Tuscan inspired venue: Bella Collina.

This day was nothing short of amazing – the couple’s vision came to life and the space was absolutely dreamy.

This gorgeous couple met in high school and quickly became best friends. They went off to college and stayed close – seeing each other over breaks and keeping in contact. After college, David moved back to Florida and the rest is history.

New Year’s Eve David decided to make Emilie his forever. He got down on one knee and asked Emilie to be his bride. It was Emilie’s easiest YES ever.

And this is when Bella Sposa Events came in! Emilie and David quickly picked their venue: Bella Collina. They wanted an elegant castle vibe along with beautiful natural vibes.

We had the absolute honor of making our couple’s vision come to life. January 4th was finally here, and it was time to get Emilie and David married! We were beyond excited.

The morning was rainy but had an amazing chilly breeze – and we all know rain on your wedding day brings good luck! Nothing was getting in the way for this couple.

Emilie spent the morning on property in the gorgeous women’s suite. She had her hair and makeup perfected by two talented individuals. And was able to relax amongst her closest girl friends. It was perfect.

Once family and friends arrived and were seated in the charming and elegant ceremony space, Emilie was escorted down the aisle by her father.

Emilie and David shared their vows in front of their favorite people with the gorgeous rolling hills and greenery as their backdrop.

After their special heartfelt ceremony, the new Mr. & Mrs. welcomed their guests to share in an romantic and fun evening full of delicious food, amazing entertainment and contagious fun vibes.

In the reception space: the tables were beautifully decorated with romantic taper candles, gorgeous elevated florals, and tons of greenery. The long tables were perfectly decorated with intertwining greenery, gorgeous white florals and candles that gave off a dreamy luminescence. Gather & Grace designs did an incredible job designing the florals.

The head table was eye catching! Decorated with gorgeous greenery, and taper candles with a hedge wall back drop and neon sign: this created such a fun element with a personal touch.

The white tent was also beautifully decorated by the very talented Gather & Grace team. Greenery hung above along with beautiful cascading floral chandeliers. This gave the space a dreamy garden effect.

For dessert the couple had many options including a gorgeous two-tier cake along with a gelato station and a zeppolle station!

The party quickly got started by Blast Productions and the guests could not stay off of the dance floor.

The night had a contagious energy and the space was full of so much love and excitement. It was extremely evident how loved Emilie and David are.

The couple’s favorite part of the night was having a live painter at the event. I am not Maggie painted a gorgeous Live Photo in front of the guests. Family and friends along with the couple were able to watch her paint during the night. Once the wedding was over the couple got this gorgeous painting to bring home! Emilie and David both said this is their favorite memory from their wedding.

Thank you so much Emilie and David for allowing the Bella Sposa team to be apart of your very special day. It was an amazing event and we feel so lucky we got to share it with you.

Judi & Bradley, March 6th, Club Lake Plantation: Apopka, FL

As we look back on March 6th, we are reminded of the beautiful wedding day Judi and Bradley had. Bella Sposa Events felt honored to be apart of such a lovely day.

It was an absolutely perfect day to get married at the gorgeous Club Lake Plantation wedding venue. The venue inspired the couple’s whimsical theme, they loved how it had plenty of space for all of their family and friends.

Judi and Bradley happened to be one of the most fun-loving couples we have ever worked with. Their vision of the day included having fun – this was most important to them.

It only made sense that the couple met while working a job together coordinating fun activities for guests at a Resort on International Drive. Bradley made the first move and asked Judi on a date – the rest is history.

Bradley wanted to take a trip down memory lane and recreate their first ever date at Kraft Azalea Park. Little did Judi know that Bradley had more in mind. He had a sign set up that said “Will You Marry Me?” and quickly got down on one knee to ask for Judi’s hand in marriage.

Bradley set up an entire evening full of celebration, including their families waiting close by to celebrate with the gorgeous couple. *Cue the tears*

After a little over a year of planning, the couple’s very special day was here. It was March 6th and it was time to get this couple married!

Judi spent the morning getting her hair and makeup perfected by the ladies of Angelica Chrysler Beauty. Judi was able to hang out with her bridesmaids and relax and laugh all morning long.

Once Judi was ready and dressed in her gorgeous gown it was time to get her down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams.

Finally the couple joined together and shared their vows. They were pronounced Mr. & Mrs and shared their first kiss under the gorgeous oak trees and in front of their closest family and friends.

Following the beautiful and personal ceremony guests gathered to share in an evening full of fun and love.

Family & friends found their seats based on a gorgeous butterfly chart – the guest’s tables were perfectly decorated with romantic taper candles and dramatic tower vases with gorgeous florals and dangling twinkle lights. The room was full of a romantic and elegant vibe – it was absolutely stunning.

And how can we forget the sweetheart table – this was a sweetheart table of our dreams. Perfectly decorated with cascading greenery and floral with romantic taper candles.

For dessert, Valhalla Bakery and Valkyrie Doughnuts created a gorgeous dessert display. Guests enjoyed the wide range of choices and how delicious everything was.

Once the party got started by Latin Touch Entertainment – dancing, laughter and fun filled the room. It was such a special occasion.

November 24th, 2019 – Amanda & Nik’s wedding day was finally here and it just happened to fall on the most gorgeous evening ever. It was Bella Sposa Event’s mission to make their day everything they ever dreamed of and more.

The beautiful couple met while in high school at the Hollister & Co. they both worked at. On a trip to Disney World, Nik got down on one knee in front of Cinderella’s castle and proposed to the girl of his dreams. It was Amanda’s easiest “yes” ever.

November 24th quickly approached – it was finally here. And the day was full of beautiful memories. Starting with the beautiful ladies meeting at a suite to get ready. Color & Co. perfected Amanda’s hair – leaving her looking flawless.

Once Amanda was ready & dressed in her gorgeous dress, it was time for her and Nik to share a first look . It was the cutest moment between the couple & one they will surely cherish.

The day quickly progressed and it was finally time for the couple to say their “I Do’s.”

Family & friends gathered and once everyone was seated Amanda was escorted down the aisle by her mother. It was a very special moment.

The couple shared their personal hand written vows in front of their favorite people with the gorgeous historic home as their back drop – it couldn’t have been more perfect.

After the couple was pronounced Mr. & Mrs. – they welcomed guests to share in an evening full of delicious food – including an avocado bar – awesome music, wine galore & of course – love. It was such a special occasion and gorgeous event to witness.

The guest’s farm tables were beautifully decorated by Gather and Grace Designs with greenery and delicate white florals, pillar candles – which gave the space a romantic feel, and lemons which gave a pop of color.

Elizabeth & Danny, January 24th, Club Lake Plantation, Apopka, FL

January 24th was a magical day. We had the privilege of working alongside Elizabeth and Danny to make their visions come to life on their wedding day.

This very special couple met at a mutual friend’s birthday brunch and hit it off. They instantly started dating and just a few short months later, Danny was down on one knee asking Elizabeth to be his forever.

After looking for a rustic, yet elegant venue for their special day they came across Club Lake Plantation and knew this is where they would be saying “I DO.” They fell in love with the canopy trees, all of the animals on property, and the intimate romantic feel the surroundings gave them.

It was settled…they would be getting married on January 24th, 2020 at Club Lake Plantation. And that is where we – Bella Sposa Events – came in. We were so lucky to work with such a beautiful couple. It was evident the love they shared.

The morning of the couple’s wedding day quickly approached. It was a chilly & beautiful day. Elizabeth had her gifts for all of her bridesmaids perfectly set up in the bridal suite – it was time for them all to get ready.

After Elizabeth’s hair and makeup were perfected, it was time for a first look with Danny – and their doggy, Martini! It was such a special moment for the couple to see each other before they walked down the aisle.

Once all of their guests arrived and were seated, it was time for Elizabeth to walk down the aisle to become Mrs. Lopez! As the crowd rose to their feet, Elizabeth’s father escorted her down the aisle.

After a gorgeous sunset ceremony – which also happened to be the couple’s favorite memory of the day – the couple was pronounced Mr. & Mrs. Lopez. They shared in their first kiss and welcomed their family and friends to share in an evening full of food, fun and laughter. It was a night full of love & lots of dancing.

The guests tables were elegantly decorated with lanterns and greenery. The florals designed by Orlando Flower Market added the perfect pop!

The sweetheart table was eye catching! With a gorgeous overflow of greenery and pops of maroon and white florals – the guests couldn’t keep their eyes away. The lanterns, drapery and uplighting added the perfect fun element which completed the entire look.

For dessert, Sugar Sugar Cake Boutique created a stunning four-tier cake. It was tasted better than it looked – if that’s even possible!

Once the party got started by Xclusive Deejays – the dancing never ended. Family and friends gathered around the couple and the room filled with a contagious and loving energy.

Thank you so much Elizabeth and Danny for allowing us to be apart of your special day. Congratulations on your pregnancy – we are so very excited for baby Lopez to come into this world. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness and love.
